    Rushing sound in water pipes
Since we had an outside pipe leak fixed there is a loud rushing sound in the water pipes. This does not seem to be affected by turning the stop cock down or up. How do we stop this?
    This is the message:

    Hi,

Thanks for coming back on our plumbing problem. Yes the repair was to replace a
Rotten section underground where it enters the house. As far as I know the whole
Line fomr the street main is now modern polypipe.

The noisiest areas are around the hot water tank and the bathroom although we
Can hear the water rushing up the pipes form the stop cock.

Outside pipe leak. Would that be the underground water service? Where is the sound the greatest?

Sounds like a small pebble got in the open line and got sucked up into your system and the noise you hear is the water rushing by it. I can't tell you where it's lodged, you'll have to track it down by sound and feel,(vibration).
Good luck and in the future you'll get a faster answer ifr you place it on this page instead of E-Mailing me. Good luck, Tom
