Rough Plumbing - Cleanouts and Concrete/PVC
    - Please see attachments -
I am attempting to install an extra bathroom in the end of my garage. I am trying to do everything up to code. I already got my permit and I am almost ready for my first inspection. I just have a couple questions.

    1) Based on my attachments where should I place a cleanout? I know at least one would be required but I am not sure about where. I was thinking about placing it just outside the back wall. Would that be up to code or do I need it inside the building?

    2) What adhesive should I use when I connect through the concrete sewer stack?

    3) As you can tell I am not a professional plumber. Based on my layout is there anything I should change that would not pass an inspection?

    Thank you

You cut in a combination wye and eighth bend in the main just outside the garage foundation and bring it up to grade with a cleanout cover.

What is that thing sticking up out of the ground? Does it go to the city sewer or a septic tank? It looks like the hub of a piece of 4" cast iron pipe encased in cement. The pipe is not a sewer stack and it's not made of cement. Could this be a vent for a septic tank? At any rate I think you're going to hafta connect to the main that this pipe ties to.

Looks professional to me. Your venting's bang on and if you have the necessary fall then you look good to go.
    Good luck, Tom

Thanks Speedball1. I really appreciate you taking the time to write a response.
About the Tie-in with the city. The large pipe coming up from the ground with the cover on it is the sewer tie-in with the city water. I can take the manhole cover off and see my other sewer pipe running into it. Instead of tying into my existing pipe coming from the house I want to do a direct run for the new bathroom. What you see in the picture is large enough for me to get inside. It is the main connection to the city sewer. Any help with this connection would be apprectiated.
