Replacing shower pan/drain

Hi,

The shower pan in started to leak and a section of the shower pan became soft started to come apart. I pulled the glass enclosure down and pulled the fiber glass walls down to expose the pan and screws holding the pan to the wall. I cannot seem to figure out how to remove the drain. The house is on a slab and fairly new (3 years old). I popped off the drain cover and see the pvc pipe and a black rubber ring outside of the pvc pipe. How do i remove and replace this drain?
