Removal of tub spout diverter with hole underneath
I have a tub spout diverter that has a hole in the bottom. I need to know what the mechanism looks like so I can figure out how to remove it and then unscrew it to put on a new one.

There is a hole in the bottom of the unit but it is too close to the wall and I can not look in it to see what tool I need to remove it.

If you can help, I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    Maureen.

This spout diverter is called a "slip on spout diverter". It has a set screw ( usually a Allen Head) up in that square hole. To remove the spout simply loosen the set screw and pull the spout off the copper stub-out. Good luck, Tom
