    Pvc primer & glue made me sick - used in hot "cpvc" pipe in shower
    HELP PLEASE!!
    PVC PRIMER & GLUE MADE ME SICK - USED IN HOT "CPVC" PIPE IN SHOWER- is this Possible?

    A friend installed CPVC with regular PVC GLUE AND PRIMER, The FIRST shower I took left me COUGHING and my eyes were BURNING for several days. I thought THE GLUE/PRIMER may have not fully CURED/DRIED. Soooooo, just when my RED eyes were clearing up, (but the COUGHING had NOT ceased, I took another shower, and it STARTED UP AGAIN!! I don't think this is a
    Coincidence!!

    No question about it, the fumes from the glue and primer are bad. They must be used with adequate ventilation.

    It could be residual fumes or an allergy to PVC.

    Ventilate the bathroom with a fan
    In the window or the bathroom ventilation fan if you have one.

    You failed to mention if this is a new installation or was copper replaced or if you have copper in the house.

    I suggest that you open hot and cold water in that shower and let it run for 10 minutes to flush the line... Otherwise, do as KISS suggested...
