Most water pumps have a 1/4" threaded hole on top of the impeller housing. Sometimes ther's a plug and sometimes there's a pressure gage in the opening but that's where you prime the pump. Turn the pump off and remove the plug/gage and pour water in the impeller housing until it runs out the top. Replace the plug/gage and turn the pump on. You shoud be pulling water in a minute.
If you can't fill the impeller with water then you have a bad check valve or the foot valve in the well point's faulty. Good luck, Tom
