Pump Will not prime

We have a jet pump well system that has been a pain from day one. Currently the problem is that we lost prime in the pump and now can not get it back. We have checked water level in well, thats fine, checked foot valve, thats fine. Pipes in the ground that run to the well holding water between house and well just fine. New Pump, about 5 months old and the water pressure tank we got today. (old and thought it might be the bladder in the tank, but obviously it wasnt) With all that information is there anything else that could be causing us no to be able to get pressure/hold pressure? Thanks for the help!

When you attempt to prime the pump, and you fill the impeller cage with water until it overflows, does it hold that water or does the level in the impeller cage fall? If the water level tends to fall, you are looking at a footvalve - checkvalve problem, or possibly a leak in the suction line in the well.
