I'm assuming you mean the vent terminals and vent stack instead of stack vent. If you really mean the stack vent click on back with more details.
Sections 1404.4 and .5 Of the Standard Plumbing Code, (Extensions Through Wall) allows you to extend vent terminals through a wall providing that,
1- No vent terminal shall be located directly beneath any door, window or other ventilating opening of the building.
2- No vent shall be located within 10 feet horizontally of such a opening unless it's at least 2 feet above the top of such opening.
In short, you may connect to a existing roof vent that goes through the roof but you must stay away from all openings.

Photoman, do you know you can start your own post by clicking on ASK? These are individual questions from a single poster, not a blog. When you do your post include the size of the deck joist and the spacing. It about 3' for most 16" oncenter applications.
