    Plumbing double sink
We recently had new corian countertops (including corian sink) put in. My husband
Connected the plumbing. Now, when I wash dishes in one side the suds back up into
The other side. What is wrong? It drives me crazy.

There is probably nothing done wrong. Suds do not drain as freely as water, they stick to the walls of the piping. Try putting the drain stopper in place in the other drain while washing dishes.

Several things come to mind. 1)You could have a partial clog in the lateral drain in the wakk in which case it will have to be snaked from the trap, 2) Your hubby drained the tubs using a continuous waste and a single trap, if he had ran a wye off the stub-out and picked up each tub with its own trap the suds would not be as likely to come up in the other tub. Kitchen double sink backfilling [ 1 Answers ]

Just recently the kitchen sink has been filling up through the drain on both sides of the double sink whenever water is ran (starts immediately after water is ran). It is really bad whenever the dishwasher or garbage disposal is used. The water rising up into the sink is also filled with little...

New double sink [ 1 Answers ]

I just installed a new double bowl sink and have a problem. When there is water in both bowls, it drains very slowly. Water in just one bowl OK. One thing I did not do was add a tail piece to the trap before attaching the 'double' drain pipe. Could it be that there is not enough length from...

Plumbing - 1st floor sink backs up in sink below [ 3 Answers ]

I have a 1st floor kitchen sink directly above a basement sink. When the 1st floor sink is full, it drains quickly and backs up in the sink below - which then drains relatively quickly. No other problems here - the dishwasher drains fine, general use is fine - it's only when there's a full sink of...
