    Pipe threading
I'm trying to unscrew a nut in a cleanout line, and it won't budge in the counter-clockwise direction, but will
Move in the clockwise direction. Are these pipes oppositely threaded, or is it simply a question of forces and mechanical advantage? Thanks, Roy

There are reverse thread nipples and couplings for making repairs in previously assembled systems, but no reverse threads on c/out plugs.

Are we talking about a c/out plug screwed into a sanitary tee, or are we talking about something altogether different?

    Hi Roy,

No, the pipes all have right hand threads. They unscrew counterclockwise. Hit the threads with some WD-40 and try again. Good luck. Tom
