No water from outside anti siphon spigot

4 Answers We winterized our cabin and turned off all water. We were able to turn all water back on in the house but now cannot outdoor anti siphon spigots to work. Do we have to do something special to the anti siphon cap to get water? Thanks |

I notice that you said spigots, meaning more than one. Follow the piping of one spigot back to the main cold water supply pipe. I suspect you will find a stop valve that has been turned off, which you have forgotten about. | ||||

| Not at all likely. Since i am still under the impression that you have no water at more than one spigot there must be a stop valve some where that is turned off. Just to be sure that I am being understood, a stop valve is another valve on the line somewhere that stops the water before it gets to the spigot. | ||||

| Hi Harold, Thanks for replying to my previous post. These two outside spigots are served by two different stop valves and both of those valves are on. Any other ideas on why we have no water? It's possible that we did not winterize these anti siphon faucets correctly. When we winterize, we drain all water, remove water lines from faucets in the house and blow air through the whole system to be sure lines are dry. Thanks again for answering. | ||||
