Hi KipH and Welcome to The Plumbing Page. At AskMeHelpDesk.com. You're responding to a 4 year old dead thread so I gave you one of your own. Look in then upper left hand corner of the first post form the date in the first post before you post, Thanks
Your pump's running dry. Shut it off at once, Either the well point or the suction line's clogged. It could also be that that water table has dropped below the well point. Get a pump guy out there to check your system. Good luck, Tom

Water Pump not working [ 2 Answers ]

We had cold weather and we lost our water. It still hasn't come back. We replaced a blown fuse but it still doesn't work. Does the pump come on even if it needs to be primed? It makes no sounds. Does this mean that the motor is burned out? Or do I just need to prime it? Thank you.
