No hot water today...

Hello, hopefully someone can advise me as to what to do. We recently purchased this house-first winter here.
It has a well, expansion tank and electric water heater. Yesterday all was fine, today luke warm water when turned all the way to hot. Usually the water is scalding!
Last night was really cold-20's. I'm new to this well thing, is this normal?
Very minor drip from copper pipe at top of HWH-never noticed before.
What should I do? Thanks

First check the breaker box to make sure you have power to the heater. If that's bOKI move on to the heater and check the elements. What pipe's dripping? Water pipes or the pipe from the T & P valve? Let me know, Tom
