| Renove the knob and chrome face plate and Look up where the hot water connects to the valve,(see image). This is a screwdriver shut off or integral stop. It's a shut off so you can service the valve. Shut the water off at the house shut off or the hot water heater and remove the stem and washer assembly from the screw driver stop. Feel around the seat for a blockage. Now turn the hot water back on to flush out the supply and screwdriver stop. do you have a full stream now? Good luck, Tom |

thanks | OK! That puts the problem in the hot water supply. If I were there I would cut the hot water supply loose from the shower valve and disconnect the hot water supply from the lavatory faucet. I would then take a air compressor or air bottle and attach it to the lavatory supply and attempt to blow the obstruction out of the system. good luck, Tom |

If you run into a problem click on back for a little help;. Cheers, Tom |

| Speedball one question before i attempt this tomorrow. If the hot water pressure is perfect in the lav sink -hot water supply than how will that blow blockage all the way to the hot water supply in tub.
And any suggestions on what PSI to use?
thanks much |

thanks much | I'm closing the entire system off, ( shut the cold water off at the water heater and close all hot water faucets.)and pressuring up the entire hot water system through the lavatory supply with the terminal outlet being the tub/shower supply that you have opened up. This will force water back through the tub valve supply. It will be a weak stream at first but when the stream becomes strong chances are you blew the blockage out. I would start a 100PSI and go up. this might kick off the T&P valve on the water heater but it will only be for a short while. Let me know how you made out. Good luck, Tom |

How will water flow in a stream than strong through hot water line when hot water is shut off at water heater where does water come from?
thank you |
