No Hot water Pressure

We had a new gas hot water tank installed. Since that time we have poor hot water pressure and at times none. This happens especially in the morning and has become increasingly worse. At first my husband thought it had to do with our new line that was put in through the township that eliminated the use of our well. He would prime the arm on that line that came into the house and it seemed that the hot water pressure would return to normal in no time. Now no matter wate we do it seems to take up to 20minutes of priming to get the pressure for hot water. Cold is fine. This makes me believe that it is not the township water line but the hot water heater. What can the problem be ?

You're gonna hafta "splain" that one to me!! Prime a water meter? The water heater? Prime what?? I'm with you in believing the problem's with the water heater and not the new water line. Please explain more about this "priming" and how it helps your hot water pressure? Regards, Tom
