I recently found some water along the edge of my whirlpool tub. I pulled the front facing off last night and discovered condensation along the front facing and tub itself. Mold was all over the pipes that run along the outside of the tub. This was isolated along the front section only. The concert below and underneath the tub was dry. The condensation appeared to be building up on the facing and then working itself down to one spot at the bottom where the tile meets the facing itself. After sitting open all night I found that it was dry this morning with the exception of the drain where there was still some moisture, but not much. I cannot locate a leak anywhere. The tub has not been used for atleast 6 months, although I have run some water in there to basically spot clean it, but no more than an inch or two. Do I have a venting problem or is there something else that I can do to stop the condensation and mold?

I know of no reason that you should have condensate/ moisture unless the warm trapped air inside the tub enclosure is interacting with the decreased temperature on the tub caused by the AC in the bathroom. To get rid of
mold and nasty stiff scrub the area down with full strength bleach. good luck, Tom
