with in the last couple days our hot water pressure as dropped,and we only have luke warm water comming out of the bath tub.the sink in the bathroom has real hot water low pressure,sink in the kitchen real hot water but low pressure also.can you tell me how to fix this problem.we have a gas hot water heater that is about 2 years old. thank you slc121
The tub sounds like its a single mixing valve while the others are probably two handle faucets, right? Sounds like your flow from the tank is restricted. Is my description of your faucets correct?? It makes a difference on how I move forward.

i would start by checking nipples on top of water heater, both incoming and outgoing. Also make sure incoming water valve to water heater is turned completely on(may also be clogged). Let us know what you find. low hot water pressure will cause your single handle tub faucet to act up. im guessing that both hot and cold in the tub are low pressure? but cold at other fixtures is good?
The way I see it he mixing valve on the shower now gets less pressure on the hot side ans changes that mixing. The faucets are effected also which means that it all of the hot water supply. I would go to the nipples in the hot water tank even though its 2 years old. Why was the old tank removed. A gas usually means it rusted out or it was two small.
If you are on a well it is possible that the well water has some particles that are clogging up the nipples on the new tank Let us know if its a well.

I gree with Mygirlsdad 100% to check the nipples, also tell us How old is your house plumbing, is it copper, gulvanize, or pex piping and How old is your water heater?
glad you got it fixed, now you know where to look when this happens again. Two years is quite short for plugging of the nipples. May look into a filter system for your water to prevent this in the future.
