Leaky overflow drain on Kohler whirlpool tub
My Kohler Infinity whirlpool tub is leaking from the overflow drain. I tried to tighten the screws but I am worried about cracking the fiberglass. The rubber seal looks OK. Any ideas?

You shouldn't have to crank down on the bolts enough to crack the tub. Is the leak right at the trip lever plate,(see image)? If it is why not take and loosen the bolts and pull the trip plate clear enough to get at the gasket. Coat the gasket on both sides with Silicon Jel and reassemble. This should seal the trip plate. Good luck and thank you for rating my reply. Tom
