No I don't have a sump pump in the basement. As far as the pvc pipe I don't know what it is connected to. It runs southeast to the northwest as far as I can see.

Where does it go or does it just stop?
Sorry, first timer. I don't know where the pipe runs to. The hole has been widened to 2 x 2 feet. Water seems to be seeping in from both sides of along the pipe. I thiught at one point there was a leak from the pipe, but i can't confirm any crack or break from it.
Gad, I sure hope you mean 2" and not 2' , that will be a big hole to patch. Work with me on this, the pipe comes through the foundation wall, right, follow it as it moves further into the home, it must lead somewhere.
I am getting confuse a bit. The pipe comes up through the floor. Put your hand on the pipe and keep sliding your hand along the piece of pipe that is now inside the basement. That pipe eventually connects to something or it is cut and you reach the end.
Maybe I worded this wrong. The pipe is under the concrete, above the soil. It is in the hole that was previosly there, and now widened by me. It seems to run from under the southeast foundation wall and where it leads is the question. it does not come up from the floor anywhere, but the water seems to be running alongside it as it lays across the soil.
Thanks, I better understand. I pictured a small PVC pipe the size of the pipes under your sinks. This is likely the sewer line leading out of your home so lets not touch it any further until we know for sure. It is not uncommon for the soil uner the home to be this wet after some rains but the concrete fllor should not be open. You can cover tha pipe with some gravel and then fill the hole in the flor with concrete trowel level with the rest of the fllor. This will be easier if you wait for the soil to get a bit drier.
