kitchen sink sprayer

My sprayer will not stop spraying.
When I shut off the water then turn it back on it still comes out the sprayer.
Any suggestions on how to get it to stop?
I have taken the sprayer all apart but can't get it to stop.

If it is a typical old fashioned sprayer and not the type that is incorporated into your faucet spout, you can just go buy a new sprayer from a plumbing supply store. un screw the old one and the new on will screw right back into its place
