Jacuzzi motor jammed

I have the same problem, the motor just hums. Yes the BUILDER (not me) tiled over it and we have no access. We're gonna have to break tile aren't we?? It's an American Standard tub with an Ultra Jet WOW pump.

You had piggybacked on a thread that was 4 years old. The answer I gave him is the same I would have given to you. Yes you'll have toopen up the apron and check the motor. Will it turn free? Good luck, Tom

Yeah, that's what we figured. We got off one row, it's really high, right behind the tub. The builder didn't build the tub surround with maintenance in mind. Any advice for when we got it out of there? It says in our instruction manual it may be "something stuck int he impeller. Take apart and clean the impeller" We just did our pool pump not long ago, I assume a pump is a pump and it's similar to that? Thanks for any advice. Needless to say we will be putting it back together with a much easier access.

Each jetted tub has to have access door to access the pump. It is Code. Some people omit installing the door bcs they "...don't like the look of it". If pump ever leaks or needs to be replaced - like in your case - than you will have to cut that opening now through finished wall.

Maybe you can cut it from closet or exterior wall. This way, you won't disturb the tilework.
