J trap, leaking at nut

I am replacing a metal J Trap 1 1/4 " no problem, but I am getting leaking from nut assembly on both sides of connecrtion. Please help

Are you saying that all the connections leak? Did you forget the gaskets? Cross threaded both nuts? More details please. Tom,

Removed the trap to retrieve something that went down the drain. When reattacing the j-trap, leaks from the lower nut on the wall side (not the nut closest to the wall). Have undone & redone 5 times... Still a slow leak.
