Installation of Wall-mounted Rear-discharge Toilets

Hi Folks,

I'm looking at either the 1) Geberit pressure-assist wall-mounted toilet or 2) Porcher Kimera wall-mounted toilet. In either case, I would use a horizontal discharge configuration.

1) QUESTION: Does the Kimera support a horizontal discharge configuration? If so, does it travel immediately horizontal from the flange's discharge location, or does it first drop the height a few inches at 45 degrees before turning back 45 degrees to go horizontal?

2) The Geberit installation instructions show an optional horizontal discharge elbow. However, as with the description with #1 above, this drops the discharge height a few inches at 45 degrees before turning back 45 degrees to go horizontal. QUESTION: Does the carrier and design support using the supplied straight vertical discharge elbow simply by turning it to the side to run the discharge immediately horizontal, thus saving the few inches of height drop in the optional horizontal elbow?

Cheers,

David

Good morning David,

These questions are best left for the manufacture to answer. I suggest you contact them. Cheers, Tom

Thanks Tom. I've got the information to call both manufacturers on Monday; I'm just a bit anxious in waiting. Cheers
