Indicator light flashes on water heater

Indicator light flashes on water heater

The indicator light flashes on the water heater control panel (I think this is actually the thermostat). I flip off the switch and flip it back on and the blower kicks in and everything is fine. This has happened 4 times in the last month. The water heater is a State Select, Model PR650NOVET, and is 6 years old.

Any help would be appreciated.
