    Hi Annrod...

If wet venting is allowed in your area then you may be able to connect a 2" shower drain pipe into the 2" sink drain pipe underground. The big advantage to wet venting in this case will be that you can use the sink drain and vent to "wet vent" the shower... a real time and money saver... ;)

One other option would be to install a SANISHOWER unit. Here, you can install a shower in a space without needing to chop the slab up to get to the pipes. This alternative although helpful in reducing the labor associated with the job has its drawbacks in that the macerating pump unit can be a bit noisy while showering... ;) Another drawback is that the pump will break down and need to be replaced someday.

Check the SANISHOWER out at: Saniflo macerating and gray water pumping systems

Just so you know all your alternatives... OK?

Any questions just pop back and let us know. Glad to help!
