Hot Water Adjustment

Both showers in the house have single handle faucets for hot water adjustment.
But they are really fussy, in that it is very difficult to adjust the water temperature. The "line" between the hot and the cold temperatures is too fine, so numerous attempts to get the temperature set the way you want it are necessary.
What can be done to make this adjustment easier?
