hot taps

I want yo change my hot water taps but can not find the stopcock. Would it be ok just to turn the main water supply off and drain the hot water system ?

Thanks in advance

Your water heater should have a shut off on the cold water supply. there should also be angle stops in the cabinet. If that doesn't work for you the house shut off or the meter stop will do the trick. The hot water system does not have to be drained. Just open up a valve to release the pressure after you shut the water off. good luck, Tom
