Help identifying hole with drain in basement
I've been having some water come up in heavy rains via cracks in my basement floor, this hole pictured was covered by a wood panel. The other picture show an internal drain pipe that is linked in. I'm what this is called and what type of maintenance is required.

I am remodeling my shower to a roman tub. The existing drain is a weep hole drain. Is there a plug for these type of drains? The idea is to use the same drain system and hot mop, tile, etc. around it.
