    Frozen outside toilet drain pipe.
    My house is on the mountain slope and is supported with wooden stilts 3 to 8 feet high. My toilet drain pipe is exposed and about 3 feet of this 3 inch drain pipe were not insulated. We had a freeze blast and the drain pipe froze.. What should I do? The toilet bowl cracked and I have to remove it. If I remove it and I have access to the frosen opening to the drain, what should I do? Using "salamander", hot water, ice or what. I would appreciae as I a retired and cannot afford the $130 per hour that the plumbers are charging here. I am reasonably handy.
    Please, help me...

    Have you tried putting a work light out there to slowly thaw it out?. sometimes the heat from the light thaws it slowly enough that it doesn't crack the outside pipe...
