faucet will not shut off

the hot water faucet in my bathtub will not shut off. is there a way to shut it off temporarily while I figure out how to fix it, without shutting off the water for the whole house?

Check to see if there is an access panel behind the tub. If the panel is present you may have shutoffs located behind the panel...shut the hot water side and you should be all set.

Beyond that I would need to know if this is a single handle tub/shower valve, a two-handle, or a three-handle valve...?? A name brand would help here, too!

Let me know...

MARK

If Marks plan doesn't work out you can shut the hot water off at the water heater. Just another option. Tom
