FAUCET SPRAYER sprays but water continues to come out of faucet.
When using faucet sprayer it used to shut water off from faucet. Now, it continues to run through faucet while coming out the sprayer. What can I do to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

There is a built-in diverter. It is located inside the column of the faucet. It most likely has some debris in it preventing it from functioning properly. To fix it: close h/c water, take faucet column apart, clean diverter ( or replace it ), reinstall it, turn water back on... Now, it should work...

SPEEDBALL, 19A in your diagram is what I do not know how to get out. I have cleaned everything else and it still does not work. Is 19a the diverter and how do I remove? Fyi-- it is on the back of my faucet.

I believe you have Delta faucet 100-110-400 and over, the diverter is the same part number RP320, the PDF files may help you go to page 9 and it will tell to clean the diverter, I would suggest to remove the diverter clean and install see if it will help, if not you would need to replace it, you can get a replacement from Delta for free just call their customer service at 800-345-3358
    Good luck.

Sorry I was not able to attach the PDF file

Open the link below, once it is open down load the maintenance and installation owner manual, and then go to page 9 will tell about the maintenance and troubleshooting, good luck.

Remove the handle and unscrew the retaining nut. Pull the spout up and you'll see the diverter. Pull it out and clean all the trash out o9f the opening. Turn the water back on to flush out the valve and reassemble. Good luck, n Tom
