Faucet keeps running after turning handles off
Have had a new kitchen faucet for over one month; no drips/leaks during that time; now, when shutting off either hot or cold, water continues to run in small stream, drips and stops after about 2-3 seconds. Do have a sprayer type faucet- American Standard - Colony Soft Model 4275.

This is a two knob faucet, correct? And it stops dripping after va few seconds? And it does it with both hot and cold? Try this. Shut the faucet in the usual way but hold the spray open. Does it still drip from the spout? Let me know, Tom

Earlier today, the faucet sounded like there was air released when water turned on. Now, when the hot or cold is turned on, the spray drips during running water through faucet.

    Pump or city water?
when the hot or cold is turned on, the spray drips during running water through faucet.
The sprayer hose is pressured up when you open a tap. Sounds like you have some trash stopping the sprayer head from closing, Remove the sprayer head and unscrew the nozzle, Check for trash and clear it away. While the sprayer head is off turn on a tap to flush out the hose, Reassemble and test. If you can't stop the drip HD sells replacement heads. Replace the sprayer head. All the other faucets OK? Let me know, Tom

PhilM01, I agree with speedball1. Also, remove your aerator and clean any debris that may be there.

I am attempting to change the seat washer on a compression faucet, however the faucets (circa 1955) appear to be stuck and can't be removed for access to the stem. Is there a plumbing tool, product or process to help remove the handle from the stem?
