| Diamond earring down the drain! DO NOT RUN ANY WATER DOWN THE DRAIN!! Not to worry, if you haven't run any water and flushed it further down in your drainage system your diamond earring is lodged in the bend of the trap. Remove the "J" bend of the trap and dump the water,(and your earring) out. Good luck, Tom |

| I got it! Thanks so much. My grandpa called me back and walked me through that drill. Thank goodness for the "J" trap. I appreciate your help! |

My husband isn't answering his office phone and I am frantic. Please help me! | Don't panic its probably sitting in the trap under the sink as long as the water wasnt running. Remove the trap and fish out your earring. Just dont run the water! |

| You DON'T have to remove the J trap. Put an old pair of panty hose over the end of the vacuum cleaner hose
put the hose up against the sink drain for about 15 seconds and VOILA! just saved me an earring. YAY. |

| Greatful, Good solution but you're piggybacking onto a post over two years old. Had you read the other posts you would have seen that she retrieved her diamond in the third post, Cheers, Tom |
