dirt in water line

I had a loss of water pressure, then within a few minutes it came back but now I am getting dirt in the water lines. I am not on a well, and my neighbor does not have the same problem. What is my fix for this problem?

It sounds like the local water company had a break in a main line or was doing some other work on the main line. I would call the water utility company and ask.

The Bond Man gave you a logical explanation. If you haven't had any work done on your water service then that's the only place the dirt could have entered your system. regards, Tom
