Delta Shower handle removal problem

Similar to 2008, but I have removed the set screw!! I just can't pull or pry off the handle and don't want to break anything using too much force.

Any suggestions?

Take screwdriver with plastic handle and gently keep tapping the handle at left, than at right and so fort. In the meantime, keep pulling on handle. It will take few minutes but it will snap loose. Back to you. Milo

Great! Worked well, especially after rust remover / desolver and tapping.

Now can't get the bezel ring off. So trying the same thing and waiting for a pipe wrench: I had one more "phone a friend" so I cashed in.

Problem now is how to hold the turning ring with one tool and secure the smaller body part on the inside. I think 2 pipe wrenches or combination of pipe wrench and another. Once that is done I guess I'll have my Delta 1400 merit badge, thanks to your help!!
