I don't know the model. I bought this shower faucet a few years back. But I do know this: behind the stem assembly, there is a small hole where the rubber and spring go.

    Thanks,
    Brian

The stem assembly does not look like what I have. I like to attach my stem assembly image here, but I don't know how to do that. I am new to this group. How do I attach an image to my response?

My stem assembly looks like this:

Yes you are correct the seat and spring goes behind the cartridge. Does your shower have a knob for temp. and for on/off or just a lever for on and you adjust the temp based on the angle of the handle? You can also send me a picture we are the delta rep for Indiana.

Thanks Speedball1. The 1300/1400 series looks like my thing. I just went to the Delta web site and typed in 1300 as the model number. It could not find anything. What is the model number for the 1300/1400 series?

    Royals91:

I have two knobs, one for hot water and the other for cold water. I adjust the water temp by turning the knobs either clockwise or counterclockwise.

Your Cartridge (stem) is not 1300/1400 it is Delta RP1740 stem and there is no technical documents available on the web site open the links below and you will see, the second link will show the 2/3 handle faucet and the stem, Thanks.

Thanks John. Mine looks exactly like the one in the PDF file. The extenders (RP28611), where do I find this part? Does Home Depot carry it.

The handle is attached to this extender (RP28611) by a small screw on the side of the handle. The handle often falls off because the small screw cannot hold on to the handle after a long period. My question is: Is there something I can replace this extender with, so I don't have to worry about the handle falling off and hitting the bathtub all the time? Thanks in advance.
