    Continuous drip from shower head
My shower head continuously drips in my shower stall after I have turned the water off. The funny thing is, it is a hand held so it is enough to push it up the hose and out. I have adjusted the faucet knob and it made no difference. If I take the shower head off the holder and let it hang, I hear a noise that sounds like a toilet flushing coming from the wall. If I disconnect the hose from the pipe sticking out of the wall, a ton of water comes gushing out of the pipe. There are no other valves to adjust other than the faucet knob. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, the most I know about plumbing is how to flush a toilet.

    Thanks,

All the water that comes out of the showerhose is built up from the leak in your shower valve and the noise you hear is the water being siphoned up from the shower raiser. Since you failed to tell me the make,(brand) and type, (one handle or two knobs) of the shower valve that's about all I can tell you at this time. Regards, Tom

    Tom,
It is a Moen, I am not sure of the model, but it is similar to the Château L2352. It is a single handle.

    Thanks,

Shut the water off to the valve and open up the valve and pull the cartridge.
Check for trash and crud in the valve and then turn the water back on and flush out the supplies. Reinstall everything and test for leaks. If it still leaks then replace the cartridge. Let me know. Regards, tom
