we had our old bathroom gutted and a shower installed.it was used for the first time last night and would not drain. looking into the drain, it looks like tiny pebbles stopping it up. of course my husband is out of town and i can
t get a hold of the contractor. could it be grout in the drain? help! nsandrakay

Helo nsandrakay:

Yes, it could just be some constuction debris got in there...it should not be possible really, but I have see it more often then you might think over the years. Is this a custom shower or a fiberglass unit??

I would not use the shower anymore. Wait until the contractor has a chance to evaluate the issue...then when he says OK..go for it.'

I just don't want you to try plunging pipe or anything lke that..may force somethiing deeper into drain line and cause even more drain issues for you....so keep clear for now.

Get the contractor out.....let us know what happens...ok?? Mark
