    Cast Iron Cutting
I'm looking for cutting cast iron in my fab shop. Would a radial arm saw with a carbine blade work?

Hi Bruce... no, do NOT use a carbide blade! Purchase an abrasive metal cutting blade... see image. Otherwise, use an angle grinder with a metal cutting wheel on that (wear goggles, too,OK?).

    Back to you...

In addition to Mark's advice: Wear good pair of gloves and hold the grinder tight. It may bite and kick back. It is very dangerous so make sure you know what you are doing. Otherwise, call a professional. See enclosed clip. Good luck. Milo

    Thanks Tom...

Bruce, chop saw will work. We use 14" Milwaukee chop saw with 14" Hilti abrasive blades in new construction on regular bases. Hope that helps. Milo
