    Bathtub not draining properly
    Hey,

The house I live in is about 18 years old and it has two bathrooms (master and guest/kids bathroom). In the guest bathroom the bathtub/shower does not drain properly. After about two minutes of taking a shower it will start to clog and fill up the tub. We have tried all types of draining products and they don't work. I believe a long time ago my dad called a plumber and they said the builders didn't angle the pipes properly for the tub so that might be why it doesn't drain qucikly. So I'm guessing the pipes are more horizontal in the ground rather than vertical? I was wondering if anyone knows what the best thing to do is. Since the actual builders of the house messed up I would think we could get more builders in here again to do it for free... but I have no idea how that works. Any suggestions?

You want the builder to tear up your drain line eighteen years after it was installed because years ago some plumber "THOUGHT you might have backfall on the drain line? Doesn't work that way!
If you had to snake the drain linhe every few weeks I say you might have backfal. But unless you've had a drainage problem for years I don't think it's likely.
Let's take care of your problem. Remove the chrome face plate and pull the stopper and linkage up and out. Snake from the open waste, (see image).
Put out 10 feet of snake and flush with hot water. Good luck, TTom
