Bathtub Gurgles and SMELLS when Toilet Flushed

When the toilet is flushed, the bathtub starts gurgling and the smell from the bathroom is terrible. I used a snake for some time, but it seemed to spin fine, the gurgle is maybe a little quieter, but didn't go away.

Help...my house smells!

-Eric

Fraid so, my friend. (Unless you want to pull the toilet and snake from there. Snake the drain from the lavatory roof vent. Put out enough cable to get to the base and about 20 feet more. The vent sound blocked and the vacuum's caused by draining a fixture or flushing a toilet is pulling the water seal out of the trap allowing sewer gas to enter. Good luck. Tom
