Just replace sewage pump for basement bathroom on Sunday, all seems to be working fine. The toilet would not pull the water down/flush.

    Hi Catcher...

Wondering if the toilet ever flushed good over the last couple days? If it did, then it could be that the new pump was placed in a poor relationship to the inlet piping from the basement bathroom and toilet paper got hung up on the pump and at the discharge pipe and is stopping the toilet from flushing properly..?

If you reun the sink/shower for a span of time, can you hear the pump kick in and pump the waste water away?

    Back to you...

Basement Toilet Flush [ 4 Answers ]

Last year we remodeled the basement and added a bathroom. The toilet drain runs only about 3 feet and empties into an ejector pit with pump, shared by the sink and shower. It seems to work well. However, many times the toilet needs to be flushed 3 times to clear it. Plunging doesn’t really...
