Basement floor drains diagram?

Have older floor drain that has a ball visible aafter removing plate has any one seen a replacement. Some one took hammer to ball Thanks Jer

Sounds like a floor drain with a built in check valve. Prevents water from flooding the basement from the drain

Look anything like this drain? If so, there is a threaded adapter that can be removed so you can replace the ball check...

Otherwise, you could take a picture of the drain over to a local plumbing supply store and chat with the guys at the counter...should be able to help you here!
