Basement Bathroom

I am a novice, and my question is: Is it possible to install a shower and sink (no toilet) in a basement that does not have the plumbing in the cement? I was wondering if I built a raised platform for the "Bathroom" would I be able to install plumbing underneath? Thanks for any ideas!

Before we can give you any "ideas" we have to know how your drainage is configured. Where's your sewer pipe located? How far off the basement floor? Where would you be able to vent to? And if you're going to the trouble of installing a shower and lavatory you might as well factor in a toilet also. I'll wait on your reply. Tom
