    Bad smell around front porch and bushes
    Smells like dog poop around the front door. I have serched in the mulch and couldn't find any. My husband thinks it's a sewer pipe leak? We live on slab. How would you detect if there is a problem without it costing an arm and a leg. It smells worse when it rains or is warm out. Smell comes and goes but comes more then it goes... please help...

    You may have an open Clean Out outlet hidden someplace in the bush. ( overflowing sewer ). You have to go it and look for it. If it is open clean out than first determine what type of material the pipe is (clay, cast iron, ABS or PVC ) then purchase plug of appropriate size from Home Depot. Install the plug.

    If it happens that your sewer line is oveflowing that it is a sign of blocked sewer. You will have to run snake through it to clean it.
