About a year ago, I began having a change in bowel movements. I was going any more often, my stools were just looser, softer, and not very formed. My bowel movements have always gotten this way just before and during my montly periods and did that month as well, but they never went back to normal...

My son will be 7 in January and we can't consistently get him to have his bowel movements in the toilet. We went through an entire training program to reteach him what the sensation of needing to go feels like, relaxing the muscles so it comes out, etc. It was working well for a while, then summer...

Lately I have been having blood in my stool. And it's not in it.. it comes out with it as if it were my period but not coming from that place. What could it be? Should I be worried?:confused:

My Mother who is 62 has had red in her stool, she blames it on eating to many beets. Can this be true and if so how long does it take to leave your system?
