Air in my hot water heater
I recently had to empty my hot water heater and now it gurgles every time I turn the hot faucet on. The water comes out cold and then turns to a trickle. How do I get the air out of the hot water heater?

Why did you have to empty your heater? This isn't air in the line. The line or the faucet's clogged.
The reason the water comes out cold is the cold water setting in the pipe has to get out before any hot water can come from the heater. It sounds like when you messed with the heater you disturbed some minerals built in there and now your faucet has sucked it up into it and it's clogging the inlet ports of the cartridge or the seat of the valve.
The solution is to shut the water off at the heater or the house stop and disconnect the hot water supply. Now crack the angle stop open while holding a pan to catch the water. If the water just trickles out then the supply must be flushed out. For this you will have to shut off the water and remove the angle stop and flush the line until you have a full stream. After you clear the branch line ,reconnect and try the faucet. If still no joy then you must do the same thing to the faucet. Open it up and clean and flush.
    Good luck, Tom
