902 t surface mounted shower

I have recently moved into a George Wimpy home which is 3 yrs old at first my shower would not stop dripping so i had to tighten it with force it was also stiff to open & close..then i could not turn it off at all so i had to turn off at the mains. i managed to get to where the washer is but how do i get the washer off. that said is the fault with the washer?

Doug, Here's a picture of a Showerforce SF 902T Thermostatic Mixer Surface Mounted Shower valve. The manufacture has said that this valve's no longer available. I don't know about the availability of repair parts. Regards, Tom
