one more question ...plzz help

A stone is thrown from a bridge with a initial vertical velocity of magnitude 4.0m/s. Determine the stone's velocity after 2.2s if the direction of the initial velocity is
a) upward
b)down ward
neglect air resistance

how can i do this question

use vf=vi+gt for downward

The formula is: v = u + at

Where: v = final velocity, u = initial velocity, a = acceleration

If thrown upward, acceleration = -g

If thrown downward, acceleration = g

use the formular v = u + at, where a is represented by g, being the force of gravity. a = -g if stone is thrown upwards and a = g when stone is thrown downwars. Hence for (a) formular is v = u - gt
and for (b) v = u + gt.

These equations are vector equations. You can use any direction, but put components in the same directions
