    Capacitor voltage & current explained!
A 2k ohm resistor and a 25micro farad capacitor are connected across a50volt supply. Draw graphs,to show how the capacitor voltage varieswith time.and how the charging current varies with time.

Your graph would resemble two "Bell Curves" forming an "X". The curve going down from the upper left would be charging current as the Cap becomes fully charged. The curve going up from the lower left would be the voltage. The bottom of the graph would be time in micro-seconds.

Start capacitor/ run capacitor info [ 3 Answers ]

OK I think I have narrowed my problem down to either a run capacitor or my start capacitor My fan on top of my unit runs but the compressor will hum for about 3-5 seconds every 5 minutes or so . Is it possible for my duel run capacitor to let the fan run but not let the compressor run, or is...

Marking a voltage and current carrying "White" [ 3 Answers ]

Curious, Currently, we are living in a home that was built in the Late 50s or early 60s. The home is wired with copper. A ceiling fan and light package failed today and I traced the failure to a three way dimmer switch that was outputting approximately 28 VAC. I figured the led circuit...

Voltage feedback(current) [ 12 Answers ]

I work for a cable company and we have this phenomenon called voltage feedback. It breaks down into two parts. First part is we read an AC voltage between the coax and house ground, which we say is "floating voltage". Second part is where we grab the coax and touch the ground and get a "tingle". ...
